Legit. Like, y’know Sector Seven or NEST in the movies? Simply making them GI Joes would get people more invested in those characters and making it easier to make a Live Action GI Joe movie.

Yeah I agree. The whole thing with NEST really does scream G.I. Joe. It that reason I always view the first Transformers movie as a more faithful GI Joe film then Transformers.
