Unfinished Badnik art

months ago. December or so. I was making an art piece depicting all the badniks of Sonic 1, this then devolved into me drawing Heavy and Bomb from Chaotix, then Scratch and Grounder, then Metal Sonic, Mecha Sonic from S3&K, Tails Doll, until I eventually stopped with the project being too much work I wasn’t ready to actually do. Will I return to something like this? Maybe. Right now? I don’t think so.


I do hope to do this again but at the moment I think It’ll go back to the recesses of my mind.


I did like the Background I made for it though. So have it I guess.

oooh, this looks like it has some real potential - I hope you do end up finishing it some day :)

if it's too much work all at once, you could always just finish it in little "waves" - do the Gen 1 Badniks first, then later add Scratch & Grounder, then later add the Metals, etc?

assuming you're working digitally, you could make each figure on a different layer and even play around with the composition as you add more characters, so each iteration was slightly different
